Autobiography

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog!

My name is Paulina Sagua, I was born in Santiago de Chile one evening in August. My brother was also born in Santiago, my father was born in Copiapo and my mother in Cuba.


I studied at the San Agustín de Ñuñoa school the seventh grade, before that I was studyng at a school closer to my house. I´m currently studyng dentistry at the University of Chile. 

I live with my parents, my brother and our dog named "Sara", she is a little black dachshund, she loves to eat, sleep and play everywhere, sometimes she escapes from my parents room and sleeps with me in the mornings.

We love her so much. Here are some pictures of our tiny beast.


I really like watching movies, I always watch movies with my mom, we like suspense movies,and also movies with detectives. Sometines I like to cook and recently I learned to embroider and I love it.

My dream job

Hello, everybody!  Today I will tell you about my decision to study dentistry.  My aunt was a doctor, I loved seeing her and I was always interested in studying medicine.  During my high school years that option was always in my head, but some time later, after going on a trip with my uncles I realized how wonderful and interesting dentistry was. They are dentists, and on the trip I got to see the instruments they use. Finally, I decided to study dentistry because of the care that must be taken with patients, I want to help them and make them feel happy. I really liked the university, and the career too, the preclinics were very entertaining last year and I learned a lot. I still don't have a clear idea of any specialty of dentistry I would like to work on, they are all very interesting. Being a maxillofacial surgeon or pediatric dentist attracts a lot of my attention. I would love to work in the future operating in a hospital or clinic, I am very interested in surgery. Bye! We'

A photograph and its story

  My favorite picture was taken by my boyfriend the last summer, I remember that vacation with much affection. The photo shows a sunset in Algarrobo, the colors are really wonderful, the combination between orange and blue is beautiful. I like the calm that this picture transmits, when I see it I feel calm and relieved, it makes me feel that I am in that place when I see it, I also like how the sunlight expands reflecting on the waves. It is a very simple photo but at the same time very powerful, I feel that it transmits many sensations in spite of its simplicity. I would like very much to be there now, I hope to be able to go there soon when the classes are over, since it is really healing to be on the beach. I love to go and see the sunsets.

Post graduate studies

 Hello again friends! Today I will tell you about a graduate course I would like to take in the future. The truth is that I like several areas of dentistry and I have not yet decided on one in particular, but I would like to take a course related to pediatric dentistry, oral rehabilitation or maxillofacial surgery. I would very much like to be able to help children with their dental problems. I think that at that age it is very important for them to go to the dentist and be able to follow treatments, later when they are older it is more difficult.  I would like to study some course abroad, perhaps in England or some English-speaking country. I feel that it is a very good opportunity to learn about other cultures and get to know places where dentistry and health in general is very developed.  I would like to travel and meet, live the experience in person, to be able to travel places, meet people from different countries and learn a lot about dentistry.
